Calbee, Inc. has decided to transfer the sales and logistics functions of its consolidated subsidiary, Japan Frito-Lay Co., Ltd. (Head office: Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture; Chairman and President: Hidenori Ishibe; hereinafter “Japan Frito-Lay”) to Calbee and integrate them in October 2026.
Through this integration, Calbee aims to improve the efficiency of business operations and strengthen its competitiveness within the Group, and to further grow the domestic snack market.
Japan Frito-Lay is a company that manufactures and sells Frito-Lay brands such as Mike’s Popcorn and Doritos, and will continue to be responsible for marketing functions and product manufacturing after the merger.
● Purpose of the integration: Amid intensifying competition in the domestic snack market, the Calbee Group aims to further enhance the competitiveness of its entire domestic business and achieve sustainable growth by consolidating its sales and logistics functions.
– Improving business operational efficiency : Optimizing resources within the group and improving efficiency across the entire supply chain.
– Strengthening competitiveness : Through integrated sales activities, we will be able to make more attractive proposals to our business partners and customers.
・Creating new value : Maximizing synergy effects and providing high-value-added products and services.
● Details of integration: Operations currently handled by Japan Frito-Lay, such as sales activities, payment settlement, order taking and logistics, will be transferred to Calbee.
● Integration implementation date: Calbee will take over from October 1, 2026.
