TricorBraun Flex has launched a store drop-off recyclable coffee bag featuring a one-way degassing valve and How2Recycle certification.
The PolyRecycle bag has passed third-party testing for compatibility with APR (Association of Plastic Recyclers) guidelines and can be recycled at participating retail locations.
The packaging combines a one-way degassing valve, essential for preserving coffee freshness, with recyclable materials. This addresses a challenge in coffee packaging in which traditional non-recyclable materials have been standard due to freshness requirements.
“The marketplace increasingly demands sustainable packaging solutions that don’t compromise product quality,” said William J. Walters, VP of product engineering at TricorBraun Flex.
The bags are available in a range of sizes, provide oxygen and moisture barrier protection to extend freshness, and allow for customizable design and matte or glossy printing options.
